New patients

We would like to take this opportunity of welcoming you to Bramcote Dental Practice.

Services Available

NHS and private treatment are both available. NHS dental treatment includes all treatment necessary to secure and maintain oral health. We also provide a full range of private treatments for patients who choose to have treatment that is not available under the NHS, for example cosmetic treatment such as tooth whitening. We may suggest referral to a specialist, if this is appropriate – for example orthodontic treatment, complex root fillings and implants. Some specialist treatment is only available privately. Children are always welcome, however young they are. We aim to prevent dental disease rather than treat it at a later date.
It is our practice philosophy to promote dental health at all times. Therefore we recommend regular check ups. It is our policy for each patient to see one dentist on a continuing basis. However, if this is not possible for any reason, suitable alternative arrangements will be made for you to see someone within the practice; please ask our reception staff.

Cosmetic Dentistry

If any aspect of your dental appearance concerns you, no matter how trivial it may seem, please do discuss it with us. Simple procedures, for example replacement fillings or tooth whitening can make a huge difference to your smile.

Anxious?

Some people feel nervous about visiting the dentist – we understand. Please discuss your fears with us, and we will do everything we can to help.

Smoking Cessation

We are pleased to offer free smoking cessation consultations for those patients considering giving up smoking.

Making Appointments

If you would like to make an appointment please telephone the practice and we will be pleased to arrange a convenient time.

Confidentiality

Strict confidentiality of patients’ records and information is maintained at all times. Patient records will not be passed on to any third parties without the patients express permission.

Oral Hygiene Products

We stock a selection of competitively priced oral hygiene items for adults and children. We are happy to recommend the most appropriate products to help you maintain dental health.

Custom Made Devices

Custom Made Device Statements are available upon request. Please ask your clinician for further information.

Cancellations

If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that we can give the appointment to someone else. If you miss two appointments or give less than 24 hours notice for two appointments, we may not be able to offer you NHS care in the future. There will be a fee for missed private appointments.

Comments about our service

We hope that you are entirely satisfied with your dental care and treatment and would be happy to recommend our services to others. If not, please let us know about it so that we can rectify the cause for dissatisfaction and improve our service. You can request a copy of the practice complaints procedure from Nikolai0who will explain the procedure in detail and deal with any concerns you might have.

Abusive or violent behaviour

If a patient is abusive or violent to any staff, treatment will be terminated and the police and/or PCT informed.

Facilities for the disabled

Unfortunately, our premises are not suitable for some disabled people because the surgeries are situated upstairs. Whilst we do have a stairlift available for patient use it may not meet all patients’ requirements. Patients must be able to climb a couple of steps to reach the stairlift and it has a weight limit of 125 kilograms. For those patients who find they can no longer access the surgery we will assist in referring you to alternative dental practices. A portable hearing loop is available at reception.
